Apple Tops Coca-Cola, Google to Become World's Most Valuable Brand

According to a report from identity and brand consulting company Interbrand, Apple has overtaken Coca-Cola as the new most valuable brand in the world, knocking the beverage corporation from its 13-year tenure in the annual “Best Global Brands” survey, reports The New York Times.

Congrats to Apple for achieving this amazing feat!

iPad rumours

What is next to look out for?  Die hard apple fans should not have any problem making a guess.  Yes, that's right.  The 5th generation iPad and 2nd generation of iPad mini.  So far, there is no tentative date of a media event to announce these.  Fortunately, we have some leak photos to enjoy while we wait for the big announcement.  :)

Apple Increases Cellular App Download Limit to 100MB

With the launch of iOS 7, Apple is now allowing apps up to 100MB to be download from the App Store over a cellular connection.

That limit has been set to 50MB since March 2012 and was 20MB prior to that. The increased limit will make things easier for developers who have been struggling to keep their apps under 50MB for easy downloading on the go.

I guess we can expect to see higher quality graphics app and game with this new file size revision.  :)

My View on the new iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S

We have seen very little or even no surprise regarding the new iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S.  Feature wise, I guess most of the rumours before the launch event are pretty accurate with leaked photos here and there.

Perhaps the only anticipation was what price point will be set for iPhone 5C which is supposedly the first "budget' phone for Apple to wrestle back some market shares.  Sad to say, while I have no intention to get the iPhone 5C, I feel that it is priced pretty steep considering the fact that it is basically an iPhone 5 in the interior.  I would prefer them to either continue the previous trend of reducing the price of last generation iPhone or to launch a really affordable iPhone.

On the other hand, iPhone 5S has met all my expectations of the next generation iPhone. The fingerprint sensor is nice addition to differentiate itself from its competitors and of course not forgetting the 64 bits processor (the first in mobile device).

The big question is when will I be able to get hold of one.  I hope in two months time.  :)  In the meantime, I need to ponder over which colour to get.
